Serie A: Brescia contemplate terminating Balotelli contract

Yesterday, coach Diego Lopez and the rest of the squad trained on the regular pitches, but Balotelli was nowhere to be seen.

Rumours about a total breakdown between the former Italy international and President Massimo Cellino’s club emerged in Italian media.

He had been training separately for a while and news agency ANSA reports the forward blamed ‘stomach ache’ for his sudden absence.

Balotelli is back in training today, but the outlet insists his relationship with Brescia has deteriorated and claims to have heard discussions about an annulment of the current contract with the former Inter and Milan player.

The soon to be 30-year-old seems set to leave his hometown club after just one season, but his current contract at the Mario Rigamonti doesn’t expire until June 2022.
