Serie A: VAR showed our game has credibility, says Salernitana coach Nicola tells Juventus

Salernitana coach Davide Nicola was happy after their controversial 2-2 draw with Juventus.

Nicola insists Juve being denied a winner for Arek Milik was the right VAR call.

He said: “We are very satisfied with the performance we have done, we would have been very sorry not to bring home anything.

“The VAR has shown that this game has credibility. Since a player intervened to take the ball it is offside. In some restart situations we had to be skilled and precise to find another goal, Salernitana came to play a game to create play and attack high.

“We must be ambitious, but at the same time it is necessary to keep humility in order to grow.”

Nicola added: “In the Serie A at this historical moment it is difficult to achieve a result without producing a game because in the long run the quality of the teams can create problems for you.
