Simon, Oshoala fly high in France and Spain

Moses Simon has carried on with his form at the recent AFCON with the goal that gave his French Ligue 1 club a vital win as Asisat Oshoala and Paul Onuachu are again among the goals.

Simon has continued to shine even after the AFCON in Cameroon after he scored a superb free kick to earn FC Nantes all three points against Reims. He scored a direct free kick from 20 yards in the 17th minute in the game which needed 1-0 in favour of Nantes. He has now scored three goals in 19 league games.

At the same time, Asisat Oshoala, Super Falcons skipper, has extended her red-hot form with her 19th league goal of the season as runaway leaders Barcelona smashed past hosts Athletic Club 3-0. She remains the leading scorer in the league and her club have opened up a 22-point gap with their nearest rivals with eight rounds left for the season. A win at against Alaves early next month will give them the championship with seven matches to spare.
