Simon signs 4-year deal with Nantes from Levante

 

French Ligue 1 side Nantes have announced the signing of Nigeria international, Moses Simon on a permanent deal from La Liga side Levante.

He signed a four-year contract with the French side after impressing last season while on loan.

The 24-year-old quickly adjusted to French football, causing a lot of damage in the opposing defenses which earned him the club’s player of the season and goal of the season award.

“FC Nantes has exercised the option to purchase from the Spanish club Levante Unión Deportiva (La Liga) for the definitive transfer of Moses Simon (24) to FC Nantes. Loaned to the Yellow and Green this season, the Nigerian international will be linked to the Erdre Banks Club until 2024, from July 1, 2020,” read an excerpt from a post on the club’s Twitter handle on Monday.

Described by manager Christian Gourcuff as a very versatile player, Simon scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 30 appearances to the delight of fans who will be looking forward to another entertaining season from the Nigerian.
