Solskjaer ‘keeps calling’ Haaland to formalise Man Utd project

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has maintained contact with Erling Haaland during his time at Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland is widely expected to leave the German club later this year, especially with their qualification for next season’s Champions League appearing in doubt.

AS says that Solskjaer ‘keeps calling’ Haaland to sell the United project to him and convince him that his future lies at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer and Haaland worked together when the United boss was in charge at Molde in Norway and he is hoping they can join forces once again in the Premier League.

Haaland has been in prolific scoring form for both club and country this season – so far, he has fired in 39 goals in just 36 appearances in all competitions.

Any potential move for Haaland would also have to see United soften their reluctance to work with his agent Mino Raiola. Raiola has been problematic for United in recent months with his posturing over the future of another of his clients in Red Devils midfielder Paul Pogba.
