Ebuehi spent the entire last season on loan at Dutch club FC Twente and scored once in 33 league appearances, and but the Eredivisie side failed to sign him permanently after Benfica demanded a €2m transfer fee.

Ebuehi joined Benfica after breakthrough season with Dutch side ADO Den Haag in 2018 and later suffered a ligament injury that ruled him out of action for nine months.

Should the transfer goes according to plans, Ebuehi will become the second Super Eagles star in Italian top flight league after Victor Osimhen.
