Top English club drag Barcelona to FIFA’s court over transfer fee

West Brom are reportedly set to drag Barcelona to FIFA’s court  over the non-payment of Louie Barry’s compensation fee.

The Birmingham Mail says Albion are still waiting for Barcelona to pay up the £230,000 owed for teenage star Barry – and are planning to raise the issue with FIFA.

The 16-year-old striker, who developed his game in West Brom’s academy, was signed by the Catalan giants back in the summer after they saw off competition from Paris Saint-Germain.

And despite Barry playing for Barca’s youth teams this season, the Baggies have yet to see any of the fixed compensation sum they should have received.

West Brom have sent a number of requests demanding Barcelona pay up but haven’t heard anything back.
