Transfer: Chelsea write off Lukaku recall for January

Chelsea have wrote off any chance of taking back Romelu Lukaku in January.

Lukaku is on a straight loan at AS Roma this season, where the deal doesn’t carry a permanent option.

However with Chelsea in need for a centre-forward addition in January, it won’t be Lukaku as no break option was included in the deal.

The Belgian is now showing better figures for Roma at this stage of the Serie A season than he did last term with Inter Milan.

However, there’ll be no return to Chelsea next month for the striker.
