WTT finals women Nagoya delivers new era of travel inspiration

World Table Tennis is thrilled to announce Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort, the new generation entertainment resort in Asia, as the Official Travel Destination Partner for the upcoming WTT Finals Women Nagoya 2023.

The event will take place from 15-17 December at the Nagoya Kinjo-Futo Arena in Japan and will feature the world’s best 16 women’s singles players and 8 women’s doubles pairs who have battled it out all year to qualify for the season-ending championships.

Located nearby Incheon International Airport, South Korea, INSPIRE presents a ground-breaking integrated project boasting a diverse range of facilities and entertainment options, setting a true entertainment destination for visitors of all generations around the world.

Amidst great excitement, INSPIRE opened its door first with a soft opening on November 30, and plans to open the entire resort in phases by the first half of 2024.

Its initial phase of opening showcases a premier hotel featuring 1,275 uniquely conceptualized rooms across three towers, Korea’s inaugural 15,000-seat performance arena, and a year-round indoor water park* housed beneath a stunning glass dome, ensuring warmth in all seasons. Further highlights encompass banquet facilities hosting Korea’s grandest hotel ballroom, complete with cutting-edge equipment, various signature restaurant, and Aurora, a digital entertainment street, adorned with a 150-metre-long LED display, adding to the allure. (* NB: Swimming pool available to hotel guests initially, full operation, including water attractions, planned for Q2 2024.)

The later phases of opening will bring an outdoor entertainment park capable of accommodating up to 30,000 guests for an array of experiences and Korea’s largest foreigner-only casino, while a cultural complex merges shopping, dining, and entertainment. With an abundance of sights and experiences, visitors will be spoiled for choice.

As part of the partnership, Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort will receive field of play advertising for all matches that will provide a significant global platform to engage with a wide audience of table tennis fans around the world and entice them to travel to Incheon to enjoy the array of leisure and entertainment facilities on offer.

The drama of WTT Finals Women Nagoya will see the best singles and doubles players battling it out for the prestigious title of season-ending champion. Hina Hayata, Mima Ito and Miwa Harimoto will be leading the local charge against fierce rivals Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Chen Meng from China, and Korea’s Shin Yubin.

With USD 40,000 and 1,500 ITTF Table Tennis World Ranking points on the line for the Women’s Singles winner, Nagoya promises blockbuster action.
