U-20 Qualifiers: Flying Eagles qualification hopes hanging after Ghana loss
Nigeria’s Flying Eagles on Wednesday lost by a lone goal to the Black Starlets of Ghana in their Group B WAFU B Zonal qualifiers in Porto Novo, Benin Republic which has compounded their hopes of qualifying for next year’s U-20 AFCON in Mauritania
The defeat is Nigeria’s first since the start of the qualifiers as a win would have seen them in the semis.
Therefore, the u-20 side handled by Ladan Bosso must win their next match against Cote d’Ivoire who face Ghana in the semi-final.
A draw for Cote d’Ivoire will end Nigeria’s dream of qualifying for the U-20 AFCON.
