Victor Moses scores, assists despite ear injury

Victor Moses helped Fenerbahce begin their campaign in the Turkish Super Lig with a 5-0 thrashing of Gazisehir Gaziantep FK at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Monday evening.

Moses, who started the match with cotton wool covering part of his left ear was preferred ahead of summer signing Turuc in the right-wing role while four-capped Super Eagles forward, Olarenwaju Kayode was handed his Gazisehir Gaziantep FK debut.

The former Nigeria international who is on loan from English giants Chelsea, opened the scoring for the Istanbul side from the penalty spot in the sixth minute.  He missed another opportunity of increasing the lead in the 13th minute also from the penalty spot.
Vedat Muriqi scored Fenerbahce’s second in the 17th minute while Emre Belozoglu scored another penalty in the 24t minute to take the game away from Gazisehir at 3-0.

Nabil Dirar made it 4-0 in the 74th minute with a Moses assist before the Nigerian was substituted 13 minutes from time by Ferdi Kadioglu, who scored Fenerbahce’s last goal in the 88th minute.
Olanrewaju Kayode was replaced by Kenan Ozer in the 80th minute.
