We are yet to see the best of Wolves–Ikeme

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme remains optimistic that Wolverhampton Wanderers has the potential to grow after watching the side pull a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League.

The ex-Wolves keeper agreed the team is yet to produce its best this season but still took time out to acknowledge the contributions of its strikers during the match which led to Spurs keeper, Hugo Lloris making some fantastic saves.

Tanguy Ndombele gave the visitors the lead in the 5th minute, while Romain Saiss equalised for Wolves four minutes from time.

“I enjoyed the football we played tonight, deserved all 3 points in honesty. There are some really exciting players up top with podence/Neto/silva . Even though we haven’t seen the best I’m really excited about watching them grow and improve 🔶◼️,” Ikeme tweeted after the game.

Wolves who are 11th on the table with 21 points from 15 matches will face Manchester United in their next game on Sunday.

Ikeme, a former Wolves goalkeeper who had his career cut as a result of acute leukaemia rued two dropped two points against Jose Mourinho’s men.
