Super Eagles goalkeeper coach, Alloy Agu, is confident that Nigeria will rise up to the challenges of advancing to the qualifying stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria were recently drawn in Group C of the Africa qualifiers with Cape Verde, Liberia and the Central African Republic.

The Ex-Nigeria international and one-time Super Eagles safe hands assured fans that the Gernot Rohr-led side will do everything to ensure Super Eagles qualify for the next World Cup in Qatar.

Neither of these teams have ever appeared at the FIFA World Cup, but Nigeria have participated at the Mundial six times, making her debut 26 years ago at the USA ’94.

Despite the Super Eagles pedigree, Agu is aware of the threat their foes present.

“There is nobody you can count out, you just have to take each game as it comes, and you make sure that you give your best, and that’s precisely what we are going to do,” Nigeria’s starting goalkeeper at the 1990 African Nations Cup told Brila.net.

“Because the moment you start underrating a team or ruling out a country, that might lead to something else. We don’t want to do that and we will never go that way.”
