2019 AFCON Qualifier: Libya must fall—Moses Simon roars
Super Eagles’ winger, Moses Simon has declared that Libya must fall ahead of the important double header showdown against the Mediterranean Knights in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
Nigeria picked her first win against Minnows Seychelles with a comfortable 3-0 thrashing but are a point behind the Libyans in Group E after conceding defeat to South Africa at their own backyard during Match-Day one.
The dropped points make both matches against Libya a must win for the three-time African champions and Moses Simon reckons that the Eagles are good enough to qualify for the AFCON 2019 scheduled to be held in Cameroon.
“We want to be part of next year’s Nation’s Cup so we will endeavour to take our chances in both games against Libya,” the Levante winger was quoted as saying by the official twitter handle of the Super Eagles.
Nigeria have three points from its opening two matches in Group E, a point adrift leaders.

Libya and second placed South Africa. However, the Super Eagles have a chance to topple the Mediterranean Knights if they can beat them in Uyo and three days later in Tunisia on October 13 and 16 respectively.
