2019 AFCON Qualifier: Omeruo targets six points

.begs fans for 100% support

Ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Libya’s Mediterranean Knights, Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeuro has set his target on picking the six points available.

Nigeria is currently in a precarious situation as they can’t afford to drop any more points following their opening day home defeat to bitter rivals South Africa at the Godswill Apkabio international stadium, Uyo last June.

The Libyans are in a good place having thrashed minnows Seychelles 5-1 and drew goalless away to South Africa, but Omuero trusts the Eagles to deliver and have called on the fans to cheer the team to victory.

‘We will be up against a strong Libyan side. But we are the Super Eagles and we have a great squad. We will give our all to pick the maximum six points from both games.

‘I have confidence in the entire crew. We urge our fans to get behind us and give us all the support.
We will not disappoint you all,’ he was quoted as saying by the official twitter handle of the Super Eagles @NGSuperEagles.
