Nigeria international, Samuel Kalu helped Bordeaux avenge their loss against Ligue 2 side Le Havre, and qualify for the semi final of the French League Cup on Tuesday night.
Kalu was set up by teammate Jimmy Briand in the 70th minute which he neatly converted. by firing from the edge of the box into the net to send the fans at the Matmul Atlantique into jubilation.
The match failed to produce any clear cut chances before Kalu’s strike which has edged Bordeaux closer to their fourth league Cup.
Both sides were meeting for the second time in a space of five days ago which Bordeaux lost.

Bordeaux now joins Monaco, Strasbourg, and Guingamp who shocked PSG as the four semi finalists and would know their next opponents after the conclusion of the draw later today.
