U17 World Cup: Golden Eaglets get tough opponent for last 16 round

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will tackle their Netherlands counterpart in a tough round of 16 cracker on Tuesday, November 5, at the ongoing U17 World Cup in Brazil.

The encounter slated for Estadio Olimpico, Goiania will see the Golden Eaglets, who finished as Group B winners despite losing 1-2 to Australia the Europeans after emerging from Group D as one of the four best third-placed teams.

Interestingly, both countries will be meeting for the first time in this competition, with the winner expected to tackle Paraguay or Argentina in the quarter-finals.

Africa’s other representative Senegal will battle four-time runners up Spain in an interesting encounter at Estadio da Serrinha, while Angola face Group C runners-up South Korea for a quarterfinal spot.
