Chelsea now under pressure as Mahrez warns amid Leicester City battle

Leicester City are billed to face Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley next Saturday (May 15) but for now, their attentions turn back to league matters.

With Man City 13 points clear at the top, Mahrez believes there is more pressure on Chelsea going into this weekend’s showdown.

It promises to be a big weekend in the Premier League season as the battle for positions heats up.

Leicester will be in action on Friday night as they face Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium in their bid to qualifying for the Champions League.

Third-placed Leicester are four points behind second-placed Manchester United, two ahead of fourth-placed Chelsea, and five clear of West Ham in fifth.

Tottenham, Liverpool, and even Everton also remain in the top-four hunt, though fixtures are running out.

Runaway leaders Manchester City can clinch the title on Saturday when they face Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium (5.30pm kick-off).

The sides will also meet in an all-English Champions League final later this month after winning their last-four ties in midweek.

Former Leicester star Riyad Mahrez scored both goals as Man City beat Paris Saint-Germain to clinch a 4-1 aggregate win on Tuesday night.

The following evening, Chelsea – featuring two former Foxes in N’Golo Kante and Ben Chilwell – beat Real Madrid 2-0 to seal a 3-1 win on aggregate.
