Balogun missing As Brighton beat Palace at Selhurst Park

Nigeria defender, Leon Balogun was missing for Brighton in Saturday’s 2-1 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the English Premier League.

The Nigeria international who has made eight league appearances for the Seagulls this season was expected to be included in the squad having been declared fit by manager Chris Hughton in the aftermath of a shoulder injury sustained in training.

Following his exclusion from today’s match, Balogun has now missed  five matches in a row.

Glen Murray gave Brighton the lead in the 19th minute with a half volley, but Luka Milivojevic equalized for Palace from the penalty spot in the 50th minute.

But in the 74th minute,  a stunning striker from Anthony Knockaert gave Brighton the three points and victory.

Today’s win makes it the second straight Premier League victory for Brighton in 2019 and moves them eight points clear above relegation.
