Bayern Munich reject Wenger
Bayern Munich have ruled out the possibility of Arsene Wenger replacing Niko Kovac as manager of the club.
According to a report on Bild, Wenger contacted Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Wednesday and signalled interest in the vacant role, but the former Arsenal manager was turned down.
“Arsene Wenger called Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Wednesday afternoon and signalled interest in the coaching post,” a source told Bild.
“Bayern appreciate Arsene Wenger very much for his work as a coach at Arsenal, but he is not an option as a coach at FC Bayern Munich.”
