Nigeria’s goal was scored by Alhassan Ibrahim from the penalty spot in the 58th minute after Wasiu Alalade was brought down by a Guinea Bissau defender inside the 18-yard box.

Sportinglife.ng understands that the bad pitch affected Nigeria’s performance as they wasted several chances in front of goal.

Nigeria qualified on a 3-2 on aggregate after playing a 2-2 draw in Bissau in the first leg.
