Champions League: Liverpool confirm squad for Barca with surprise inclusion

Liverpool have confirmed their 23-man squad for the trip to Barcelona in the Champions League.

Roberto Firmino makes it in after missing the Reds’ last league match against Huddersfield Town.

The Brazilian was absent from the 5-0 win after sustaining a minor tear in a small groin muscle.

But he is very much back in contention now – as is Mohamed Salah, putting to bed rumours on social media that the Egyptian star had picked up a knock this week.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also present and will be hoping to build on his cameo against Huddersfield, when he made his first team return after 367 days on the sidelines.

He will be hoping to get a first team chance in the final handful of games left this season.
