Customs’ Sports Officer confident of Eagles win against Guinea

The Secretary-General of Nigeria Customs Service’ Sports Unit, Samuel Onikeku who is a passionate Super Eagles fan has tipped Nigeria to beat highly-rated Guinea in Wednesday’s second Group B match of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Eagles win

Onikeku, however, warned the Eagles not to take the match lightly but put in their all to ensure victory for Nigeria. He also believed that the match bonus of 10,000 dollars is another good motivational factor to fire up the players to put up a commanding performance against Guinea come Wednesday.

“I believe the Super Eagles will defeat the Guinean National team. Though the match will be tough but the Super Eagles will get better as the matches go by.

“There are traditional teams for the Nations Cup. Teams like Nigeria Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Egypt. These are the teams the Super Eagles can lose to but not to Guinea.

“They should play as a team but not as individuals. They should remember that they carry the weight of the whole nation as everybody will be watching because Sports is the only unifying factor for us Nigerians now. Also, the winning bonus of 10,000 dollars will further motivate them”, Onikeku told Sportinglife.ng in Abuja.
