A member of the Nigeria Football Federation reforms committee (NFF) Osasu Obayiuwana alleged on his Twitter handle on Thursday that the federation was still owing the five Nigeria-based players that went to the World Cup while all the foreign-based players were paid.
It later emerged that the players who were not paid what they were entitled to in France did not have dollar accounts which made it impossible for the federation to pay them when others were being paid.
The source, who is also a home-based player told SportingLife.ng on condition of anonymity that all her allowances were paid because she had a dollar account where she could be paid in foreign currency.
The five players are Tochukwu Oluehi, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Amarachi Okonkwo, Evelyn Nwabuoku and Alice Ogebe.
