The Super Eagles had the rare opportunity of eating Nigerian food for dinner yesterday.

Members of the squad especially the ones who grew up in Nigeria have been yearning for local Nigerian delicacies at their Avita Resort camp in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, Austria and their wishes were granted.

For players like Tyron Ebuehi, Leon Balogun and William Troost Ekong there were really no qualms about the food served in the hotel.

SportingLife.ng checks at the team’s camp last night revealed players devouring plates of eba  and egusi soup  with assorted meats popularly called ‘saki’ in local parlance at the restaurant.

However coach Gernot Rohr carried out his earlier order of not allowing the players to eat peppery food as the egusi soup served the team last night was not spicy.

“I don’t want to take anything for granted. I don’t want players complaining about stomach upset after eating spicy food because the World Cup is serious business’ Rohr said.
