Sportinglife.ng gathered that the NFF men are not taking chances about the Ebola scourge and would prefer that the game between Nigeria and DR Congo slated to hold in the Garden City on May 28 is cancelled than to allow anyone found to have failed the test to infest the polity with the dreaded disease.

Consequently, doctors from the ministry and those resident in the Garden City are expected to supervise the screening with the mandate to stop anyone who is found with the symptom from entering the country.

As a precaution, the hierarachy of the glasshouse have informed the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) and the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) of the new development that could result in the cancellation of the game, if a sufficient number of the contingent test positive or have symptoms.

When Sportinglife.ng sort the views of the NFF bosses on the likelihood of the game being cancelled, they said: ” Of course, we willl stop the game on the doctors’s advice. It isn’t a do-or- die thing. No life is worthy of being lost on the altar of playing a football game. Ebola kills in the shortest possible time.

”We have informed FIFA and Caf and the game will be cancelled with any instruction from the medical team that would be waitng for their arrival on May 26,” the Sportinglife.ng source said.
