Etebo last Stoke City player to return after international break

 

Stoke City midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo extended his stay in the country after featuring for Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier and the international friendly against Egypt in Asaba this week.

Etebo who has since returned to England ahead of Saturday’s (today) English Championship fixture against Sheffield Wednesday was given an extra day by the club to spend time with his loved ones after the matches.

This was disclosed by Stoke City manager, Nathan Jones while briefing the media on Friday.

“Every one is back with us now. Peter Etebo was the latest to return back, he had a day with his family which we wanted him to do because he has a young family out in Nigeria. We have trained today and we are in a decent place in terms of injuries,” Jones stated during his interaction with the media on Friday.

Etebo was in action against Seychelles in the last match of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifer last Friday but only played for 12 minutes as the Eagles defeated Egypt by a lone goal in a friendly on Tuesday.

The former Warri Wolves star got married to his hearthrob Ebhota Bethel last December in a quiet traditional wedding ceremony in Warri.
