Gift Orban ready to play for Nigeria

Gift Orban, who has taken Belgium by storm, is happy and ready to play for Nigeria, according to his representatives.

Orban, whose goals have taken KAA Gent to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa Conference League as well as Top 4 Championship bracket in Belgium, did not honour a call-up to the Nigeria U23s for crucial U23 AFCON playoffs against Guinea recently.

One of his representatives, Udia Attai, told scorenigeria that Gent received that invitation late.

However, the striker still wants to play for Nigeria should he be considered again.

“He is very happy and proud to play for Nigeria should he be invited again,” the representative stated.

“Such a call-up can only be good for his career.”

He further explained: “Gent only received his call-up by the U23s five days to the match, that was late, and of course his club were very much within their rights to block it.”

Orban, 20, is one of the leading scorers in Europe this year having fired 14 goals in 12 appearances for Gent since his arrival from Norway in January.

Top transfer experts have predicted the shooting star will make a big transfer of at least 20 Million Euros this summer.

Two years ago, he was scouted by Super Agent Atta Aneke in a scouting tournament in Uyo.
