Ighalo loses 2-0 with Yatai

Super Eagles attacker, Odion Ighalo failed to add to his goals tally as he ended up on the losing side with Chinese Chinese club, Changchun Yatai as they fell 2-0 to Shandong Luneng in the Chinese Super League on Friday.

Igahlo was a thorn in the flesh of the Luneng defence despite being on the losing end.

The Nigerian who has scored 21 goals this season to create a new record should have cancelled the deficit if not for the timely saves of goalkeeper Rongze Han

He missed a clear chance in the 73rd minute when his shot was saved by Han with the ball rolling out for a corner.

When he could not find the back of the net, Ighalo decided to create the chances for his teammates to reduce the tally, unfortunately it was not forthcoming until the whistle was blown to end the match.

In the 63rd minute, Ighalo suffered an injury scare when he had to be taken off to receive medical treatment after he was brought down by a Luneng player.

He however continued the game after being cleared to the delight of the visiting fans at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium.
