Ighalo mum over Changchun Yatai exit

Changchun Yatai forward, Odion Ighalo has refused to rule out an exit from the club despite intense transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the Chinese Super League team after suffering relegation at the end of the just concluded season.

The Super Eagles striker finished the Chinese Super League season on a high, scoring 21 goals in 28 games but it was not enough to save Changchun Yatai from relegation.

In a chat with SportingLife.ng during the final of the Asisat Oshoala Foundation Football for Girls Clinic held at the Campos Mini Stadium in Lagos on Thursday, the former Watford forward disclosed that, even though he still has two years left in his contract, anything can happen.

“It is always rumor until anything 100 percent happens. For now it is just a rumor. I have two years contract with Yatai, I’m on holidays now, when I go back I will know what will happen. For now, everything is rumor,” the 29-year-old said while responding to the question about his future.
