Libya/Nigeria: Omeruo, Iheanacho may miss return leg
Super Eagles duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Kenneth Omeruo could miss next Tuesday’s return leg of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations return qualifiers against Libya if they are booked in today’s match in Uyo.
Both players are on one yellow card each after Nigeria’s first leg match against Seychelles in Victoria last month which was also an Africa Cup of Nations encounter.
While Omeruo was cautioned in the 45th minute of the match Iheanacho was yellow carded in the 59th minute.
It would be recalled that Nigeria had to forfeit its three points for fielding Shehu Abdullahi in the Eagles last FIFA World Cup qualifier against Algeria last November.

This led to the Nigeria Football Federation being 6,000 Swiss Francs (about N2, 177, 280) by football governing body FIFA for its negligence.
