Macron demands ‘full transparency’ over Champions League chaos
French President Emmanuel Macron urged the government on Wednesday to investigate the chaotic crowd scenes that marred last weekend’s Champions League final and demonstrate “full transparency”.

“What the president wants… is that light is shone on what really happened, in full transparency, and very quickly,” government spokeswoman Olivia Gregoire told reporters after a weekly cabinet meeting, adding that Macron still backed under-fire Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin.
