The incident happened near the club’s Carrington training ground on a very cold and potentially icy morning in Manchester, with the number two goalkeeper’s car ending up underneath a roadside barrier.

He’s done very well to come away from the incident without any injuries and according to BBC Sports reporter Simon Stone he still managed to make it into training.

Romero has played nine times in all competitions this season, playing in the Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, and kept seven clean sheets in those games with United winning all but two, both of which were draws.

The 32-year-old signed for the Premier League in 2015 as back up for David de Gea and he’s been considered the best back up keeper in football throughout that time, stepping in brilliantly whenever needed.
