Manchester United 2-1 Tottenham: Alli’s goal made my night–Berbatov

Former Manchester United and Tottenham star Dimitar Berbatov has said Dele Alli made his night for scoring a good goal against the Red Devils at the Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Tottenham midfielder scored a sensational goal to equalise against Manchester United and continue his blistering form under Jose Mourinho.

“It was a piece of magic. Those are the types of goals that I want to see,” he told Amazon Prime.

“I tried to score goals like that in my career and sometimes I did but this is unbelievable. Look at that piece of magic.

“It’s intentional and he knows what he’s doing. It’s not a coincidence. He knows where he is and that there are two players around him and he just has that plan. He flicks it and it’s perfect. It just made my night.”

Alli has now scored four in his last three games to continue his revival under Mourinho.

And before the match, the Portuguese admitted he was pleased the 23-year-old was shining under his leadership.

“Dele, I don’t need to speak about,” Mourinho said.
