Metz deny Eagles star victory dance as Ligue 1 clash ends in barren draw

Lille failed to return to winning ways after a 0-0 draw against Metz with Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen firing blank for the home side in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.

The 20-year-old who played his 13th league match for the Great Danes last scored in October and had the highest number of shots on target against the visiting side.

No doubt victory would have been perfect for Osimhen after consecutive defeats to Marseille and Valencia in the Champions League midweek.

Nevertheless he would be consoled by the fact that Lille remain third on the table with 19 points from 13 games.

They will be without their top scorer when they tackle PSG after the international break as he will be serving a one-match suspension for accumulation of three yellow cards in less than 10 games.
