Napoli 0-1 Arsenal (0-3 agg): Iwobi plays for 22 mins, says Emery too demanding

Alex Iwobi was in action for twenty two minutes in the Europa League as Arsenal advanced to the semi final with a 1-0 away win over Napoli at San Paolo on Thursday night.

The Gunners came into the second leg with a comfortable 2-0 victory from the first leg at the Emirates last week and it just took 36 minutes for French striker, Alexandre Lacazette to score the only game of the tie to give the Unai Emery side a 3-0 aggregate score.

Meanwhile, Iwobi has described Emery as too demanding when he was asked to compare his career under the current manager and Arsene Wenger.
The Hale End Academy graduate has worked with two prominent managers, Arsene Wenger, who coached Arsenal for 22 years, and Unai Emery who arrived the Emirates last summer.

The Gunners number 17 told Hot Sports Nigeria : ”Arsene Wenger, for me the best way to describe him is patience. He gives everyone opportunities, especially young players like myself.

”I was able to grow and learn a lot from his training sessions and be the player I am today.
”I like to thank him for giving me the opportunity to play first-team football for Arsenal.”

Speaking on life under new manager Emery, he said: ‘The present coach is very demanding and he’s asked a lot of players to work, to always play with intensity not just in matches but in training and you can see that it’s working and we are enjoying playing under him.

”Both managers are very good, they have their own individual attributes and we are buying into Unai Emery’s own right now and we are enjoying his time”.
