Former Real Madrid and Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has admitted that he doesn’t enjoy some of Neymar’s more controversial antics on the pitch.
Throughout his career, the Brazilian forward has built up a reputation for what some believe to be unsportsmanlike behaviour.
“For me he is not a good example to follow,” Del Bosque told Mundo Deportivo.
“And for the record, I do believe he is a fantastic player.
“He’s definitely in my list for top five players in the world.
“But on the pitch he cheats and fakes too much.”
With the world being brought to its knees by the COVID-19 pandemic, Del Bosque believes there are lessons to be learnt by everyone, especially when it comes to politics.
“It is teaching everyone that nobody knows everything or needs to have an opinion on everything,” said Del Bosque.
“It is mean to try to make political gains out of this very serious situation, with so many deaths.”
The sporting world has also been brought to its knees by the current pandemic but Del Bosque is adamant that the current 2019/20 season must be played out until end.

“The seasons must be completed above all else.”
