Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has issued a stern warning to her teammates, emphasizing the need to prepare for a challenging encounter against Cameroon on Friday.

The third round first-leg contest is set to take place at the Stade de la Reunification in Douala.

With the Super Falcons aiming to secure a return to the Olympic Games after missing out on the last three editions, Nnadozie stressed the importance of readiness for the upcoming battle.

In a chat with FIFA.com, the Paris FC goalie highlighted the formidable nature of the Cameroonian team, composed of seasoned players.

Expressing caution, Nnadozie voiced her confidence in the Super Falcons’ capabilities but acknowledged the formidable challenge that lies ahead.

“It’s a very tough encounter awaiting us against Cameroon,” Nnadozie remarked. “They’re a very good team, composed of very experienced players. We need to be cautious, but I have great confidence in my team.”

Additionally, Randy Waldrum’s side secured a 1-0 victory over the Indomitable Lionesses during their last encounter at the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.

However, Nnadozie cautioned against dwelling solely on past victories, emphasizing the importance of maintaining focus, intensifying training efforts, and fostering unity within the team to overcome the formidable challenge posed by Cameroon.

“We shouldn’t dwell on our past victories against them,” Nnadozie emphasized. “We need to stay focused, train harder, work harder, and stick together. By doing so, we can beat them, I believe.”
