Osimhen in contention to face Barca in UCL – Napoli boss Calzona
Napoli’s caretaker boss, Francesco Calzona, has given a positive update on Victor Osimhen ahead of his side’s UEFA Champions League clash with Barcelona on Wednesday night.
The Nigeria international was left out of Napoli’s squad for last Saturday’s Serie A clash against Genoa.
Osimhen was not deemed fit enough to play a role in the game after returning from Africa Cup of Nations with a minor muscular problem amid fatigue.
Calzona, who was named as replacement for Walter Mazzarri on Tuesday night revealed that the forward was involved in full training on Tuesday.

“Osimhen trained with the team, naturally it was not a long session, as we had many things to do, but he was working at full tempo,” Calzona told the media ahead of the game.
“All the players will be evaluated after tomorrow’s session.”
Napoli will host the first leg at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday night.
