Osimhen strikes for Belgian club

Former Nigeria junior international, Victor Osimhen is gradually warming his way into the heart of the Super Eagles handlers after scoring his second league goal for Belgian side charleroi, despite going down 2-1 to Cercle Brugge on Saturday.

Osimhen who is on loan from Wolfsburg where he found playing time very hard to come by, got Charleroi’s only goal in the 32nd minute after the host side had taking the lead through Dylan de Belder.

Unfortunately Charleroi ended up on the losing side after an own goal from Martos gifted Brugge the winning goal and the three points.

The Nigerian has continued to impress his new club since pitching tent this season as he seeks to rediscover his form.

Many had tipped Osimhen for greatness after he emerged the highest goal scorer at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. However injuries has been unkind to him.

With the result Charleroi are 10th on the league standing with 11 points from 10 games.
