Puyol: Koeman is making the players happy at Barcelona

Barcelona great, Carles Puyol, believes the players are happy with coach Ronald Koeman.

Puyol believes it’s the right call that Koeman will stay on next season.

He told RAC1: “From the outside, the players look happy with Koeman, who’s a club legend and is doing a good job. He deserves respect and confidence and at the end of the season is when evaluations can be made.”

Puyol also said: “There’s been a change of energy in the team, they look good, hungry, you saw that in the comeback in the Copa del Rey. And in the Champions League against PSG another goal could have changed everything.

“It’s a new project with a new coach, young players… the league is still alive and there’s a cup final to come. Barça have good players, a good team and in recent years have won a lot of titles. These players deserve some credit.”
