Mikel , said in a statement Emre hurled curses at him.

“Emre cursed me and my family. I can not possibly accept that, “ he said.

39-year-old football player said however claimed he did not abuse Mikel, rather he went to settle a dispute.

“We played one of the matches we were successful in finding a position but we were incomplete. If we play like this, we will surely overcome the bad luck and we will continue to win.

“After the match, the experienced player who also spoke about the tension, including himself, said, “Some of my teammates stayed on the field when the match ended.

“When I saw that there were some football players from Trabzonspor running towards them, I went to them. As a captain, as a big brother, I did what I had to do there.

“I prevented tension between them and I separated them and made them go to the dressing room. I have never had any negative dialogue with any rival football,” he said.

It’s not the first time that Emre has been accused of saying such to black players as he once did same to former Ivory Coast international Didier Zokora and without an apology attempted to shake the hands of Zokora in the reverse tie which the Ivorian declined.

The former captain of the Super Eagles has already filed a complaint with the Turkish Football Federation for necessary action to be taken against Emre with his club strongly behind him.
