Ramadan: Musa feeds prisoners, children

As millions of Muslim faithfuls including Nigerians continue to observe the holy month of Ramadan,
Super Eagles player, Ahmed Musa, has used the season to express his love to the less privileged living in the
society.

The Nigerian who plays for CSKA Moscow on Monday donated bags of rice and other items to Students of Tudun Maliki Deaf and Dumb Schook and the Taurey Goron Ditse Prison Yard in Kano, The footballer has been holidaying in the ancient city since the European season ended.

Among those who also benefitted from the player’s generosity were the Remand Home for Children and the
Kurmawa Prison. The player was joined by friend and Eagles teammate, Shehu Abdullahi on the visit.

One of the pictures posted on Musa’s Twitter handle showed the footballer giving undisclosed cash amounts to the elderly, women and children. He also fed the inmates and took pictures with them.

More than 3,000 bags of Rice which had Musa’s picture on them were distributed.

Apparently touched by his kind gesture, a fan of Musa took to Twitter to salute the player for identifying with the poor. ”  @Ahmedmusa718 for this. The World becomes a better place when good men begin to taken action,” read the tweet.

Given to the poor which is not new to Musa is regarded as one of the cardinal objectives of Ramadan besides leaving a spiritual life and fasting.

Both Musa and Abdullahi have reported to the Super Eagles camp after performing the religious obligations.
