Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has insisted that injured Simon Moses is out of the Russia 2018
World Cup and does not need to have another scan outside Nigeria.

There were insinuations in some quarters that the Nigeria Football Federation is keen on taking the KAA
Gent striker to England with a view to conducting another scan in London but Rohr told journalists in
Port Harcourt that Simon has had had two scans with both indicating the same result.

He said it was needless taking the player to England but that he should be allowed to begin the process
that will leave to his recovery.

“Simon is out of the World Cup. We have had two scans on him to confirm the nature of his injury and
both came out with the same result that he needs to be out by close to four weeks,” Rohr told the
media.

“I don’t think it is necessary for him to travel to London again. He is out of the World Cup.”
The Eagles played their last warm up home game against DR Congo and it ended 1-1 with Williams Troost
Ekong scoring for Nigeria while the Simbas equalised from the penalty spot late.
