Russia 2018: Eagles get Wings of Pride as World Cup Slogan

Football governing body, FIFA have announced the World Cup slogans for all the 32 teams going to Russia.

For the Eagles, FIFA selected ‘Wings of African Pride’  as the team’s slogan for the competition as they compete against Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in the group stage.

The slogan for Argentina, who will be led by Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi, is ‘Together for a Dream’, while  Croatia, is ‘Small country, big dreams’, and Iceland ‘Let’s make our dream come true’.

Gernot Rohr’s men will take on Croatia in their opening fixture in Russia on June 16 in Kaliningrad.

Recalled that FIFA threw the contest for the best slogan to the fans of the participating teams among three options over a month ago.
