Nigeria fans have been accorded the privilege of choosing the slogan that will befit the Super Eagles campaign at the FIFA World Cup which gets underway in Russia in June.
Nigeria fans have been accorded the privilege of choosing the slogan that will befit Super Eagles campaign at the FIFA World Cup which gets underway in Russia in June.
On Friday afternoon Federation of International football (FIFA) called on fans of the 32 participating countries to choose the slogan that will be emblazoned on the team bus during the tournament.
Three slogans were shortlisted for each team – all submitted by a FIFA.com reader in the Be There with Hyundai Contest, and a Twitter poll will decide the winning slogan.
The options given to Nigeria were:The Spirit of Unity, The Dream Of One Team, The Heartbeat of Millions and ‘The Wings of African Pride”.
So far, the wings of African Pride was topping the Twitter Poll with 48% of the 2,088 votes cast. It was followed by the Dream of One Team, The Heartbeat of Millions with 27%. In the third position was the “The Spirit of Unity” with 25%.
Fans have up till May 14 to vote for their preferred slogan.
The individual with the winning slogan will be rewarded with a trip to Russia 2018, including accommodation in a four-star hotel and opportunity to escort the Super Eagles to the stadium for one of their matches.
