Salah scored the penalty spot for the Reds early on as they beat Tottenham 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano on June 1 to secure the club’s sixth European Cup and the first trophy of Jurgen Klopp’s reign at Anfield.

After starring for the Reds with a 27-goal campaign last term, the Champions League winner was given additional time off, despite Egypt already beginning preparations for AFCON 2019 .

The hosts get the competition underway later when they entertain Zimbabwe on Friday June 21, with Salah set to be part of the ranks for Javier Aguirre’s Pharaohs.

While his international colleagues are part of a training camp ahead of pre-tournament friendlies with Tanzania and Guinea, Salah is enjoying the fruits of labour and is currently on vacation.
