Sanchez dropped, Pogba in for West Ham clash

Manchester United has left out Alexis Sanchez out of today’s matchday squad against West Ham despite traveling with the team to London on Friday.

His exclusion, according to reports has nothing to do with injury or fitness concerns.

Manager,Jose Mourinho has instead opted to play Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial upfront.

Paul Pogba starts despite his spectacular bust-up with Mourinho in training, while Marouane Fellaini, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay make up the rest of the midfield.

Jesse Lingard, Antonio Valencia and Diogo Dalot have also been left out of the squad.

On Friday Sanchez posted an inspiring picture to social media of himself, David De Gea, Eric Bailly, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera, simply captioned: “United together.”

He followed that up with a snap of himself travelling in his United tracksuit.

Sanchez has struggled this season, failing to score a single goal in 831 Premier League minutes.

Subs: Grant, Bailly, Mata, Rashford, Fred, Herrera, Darmian.
