Warri Wolves, Bayelsa Utd clash today in Yenagoa

Warri Wolves will today face Bayelsa United in the return leg of the friendly game that was first played at the Warri City Stadium last week.


The Seasiders who are making a return to the Nigeria Professional Football League after about three years hiatus pipped the former league Champions 1-0 and they will make the trip to Yenagoa’s Samson Siasia Stadium with a target to preserve the first leg advantage.
The chairman of Warri Wolves, Moses Etu who has also headed Delta Stars and Delta Force before he was asked to come on a rescue mission to the Seasiders for the second time told SportingLife that his players are battle ready for the clash.
He said Warri Wolves are gradually taking shape ahead of their return to the fopflight and that he expects his boys to give Bayelsa United a good flight in Yenagoa.
“I can confidently say that my players are ready for the game with Bayelsa United,” Etu told SportingLife.
“We know there are no easier games again. We shall go to Yenagoa to complete the job we started in Warri. They are an experienced side with top players featuring for them but we are equally good and can hold our own.
“We are gradually building a team that will make people of the state proud. We are going to have a team that will be poised for the commencement of the season on November 3.”
