WCQ: Kanu’s presence inspires Iheanacho, Osimhen in Super Eagles final training

Former Super Eagles skipper, Nwankwo Kanu, was among the spectators at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, where Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Osimhen were literally the shooting stars ahead of tomorrow’s must-win World Cup playoffs against rivals Ghana.

Both strikers hit target again and again as the Eagles perfected their shooting technique for the decisive final 2022 World Cup qualifier.

Iheanacho, who was widely criticised for his individual display in a 0-0 draw with Ghana in Kumasi Friday night, fired a wonder goal to highlight the Eagles preparedness for this Jollof Derby.

The Eagles have also practiced taking penalty kicks as the game could well be decided by a penalty shootout should both teams again fail to score even after extra time.
